Hotel Construction, North Star Casino and Bingo, Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians, Bowler, WI
Hotel Construction, North Star Casino and Bingo, Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians, Bowler, WIOTIE provided construction management for the addition of 33 new hotel rooms on the second floor of the North Star Casino’s existing hotel. The second floor of the hotel was set up to be finished after the balance of the hotel was operational. To complete this phase, OTIE worked with Stockbridge-Munsee to obtain materials that matched those used in the original construction. We completed the project a month ahead of schedule which allowed the owner to capture increased revenue by occupying hotel rooms through four high demand weekends.
OTIE managed the carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting and vinyl wall covering, fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Specific activities included the following:

  • carpentry including wall blocking, hung doors, toilet accessories, shower accessories, and finish trim
  • installing new steel stud interior room walls and drywall
  • installing ceramic wall tile, ceramic floor tile, and carpeting
  • installing vinyl wall covering and painted all exposed services
  • HVAC including working on the existing system to provide heating and ventilating distribution into each of the new spaces as well as having it operate as a whole
  • lighting, power, and fire alarm systems that function for the new rooms and are tied into existing electrical and fire alarm panels
