Response & RecoveryOTIE has responded to several natural disasters and incidents of national significance including: Hurricane Katrina, the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil disaster, regional flood events, and the Alabama tornado outbreaks. OTIE has provided field assessments/reconnaissance, remedial oversight of cleanup activities, on-site database management, GIS mapping, and logistics support. Our field personnel have documented locations of hazardous materials or potentially hazardous materials displaced by extreme weather events to be evaluated and later collected if hazardous.

OTIE has developed innovative ways to streamline the data management process and are always evaluating and using emerging technologies to expand information sharing.
