|OTIE offers air quality services including monitoring, regulatory compliance assessments, and industrial hygiene assessments. Our services include design and implementation of indoor and ambient air monitoring at Superfund sites, wood treatment sites, and former manufactured gas plants. Air monitoring to protect human health and the environment is a common, routine task that we perform under our USEPA START contracts.
Indoor Air Monitoring
From initial qualitative assessments using instant readout instruments to quantitative assessments involving air sample collection, OTIE has experience preparing air monitoring program plans and executing monitoring programs. With the use of real-time air monitoring instruments, we evaluate indoor conditions, devise an air monitoring program, and collect laboratory air and particulate samples using a variety of equipment. We are experienced with Summa canister, low-flow, high-flow, and dust-track samplers.
Ambient Air Monitoring
Ambient air monitoring to protect human health and the environment is routinely performed by OTIE. We also provide air monitoring services during emergency response situations using appropriate levels of personal protective equipment. We prepared and implemented Perimeter Air Monitoring Programs for site remediation activities addressing potential releases during remediation of sites such as manufactured gas plants, PCB, and VOC- contaminated sites and metal-contaminated sites. Our air monitoring program combines both real-time and laboratory results to provide a dynamic evaluation of the air quality during a remediation and enables our clients to make timely decisions to protect human health and the environment.
