Our natural resources staff has selected, designed, and provided construction oversight for thousands of acres of restoration sites throughout the country. For these projects, we provided hydrologic analysis, soils characterization, planting and/or seeding plans (including ecological services for projects requiring restoration of native plant communities), cost estimation, construction oversight, and long-term monitoring plan development. OTIE has proven skills and experience in providing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for a wide variety of expansion projects, ecological restoration, transportation, and municipal projects. OTIE performs baseline studies and used as the basis for writing biological evaluations, environmental impact statements, environmental assessments, forest-wide biological investments, and environmental reports. We also compile research conducted by federal and state agencies, universities, and local scientists in the project region.

We have performed investigations and provided documentation for numerous businesses, agencies and individuals as part of the NEPA compliance process. In conjunction with our engineering department, the Natural Resources group has developed practical project alternatives that work to avoid and minimize impacts to natural resources within project areas. Strong experience in coordinating with agencies at federal, state, and local levels ensures that all environmental commitments are fulfilled.
